Completed Cross Stitch: Rose Cuttings

I adore all of the pieces that I stitch, but this Rose Cuttings Cross Stitch is very special to me.

My mom has always loved roses. I knew that I had to stitch this for her and that she would love it as much as I loved stitching it! I started it in May of 2018 and finished it up in February of 2019 for my mother's birthday.

Here are the details of this kit...

The pattern was easy and large enough for me to read and I really enjoyed stitching this piece. There is one thing though....This pattern did have six symbols that combined two colors (which is not my favorite). For example, the star symbol combined one thread of maroon and 1 of black. I think it looked great when combined with the other colors, though. There was also plenty of thread included with this kit.

Although this project took me a while to complete, I would do it all over again because my mom was so happy to receive it as a gift.

I had an old frame on hand and my sweet hubby painted it for me to fit perfectly with this piece! I wanted it painted in an off white color because I thought it may be too hard to match the pink in the roses.

Here are a few pictures of the completed piece along with a couple of close up pictures...
